Ruud Smulders, Lisa Ostermann and Yentl en de Boer each won a Poelifinario on Monday evening. The awards were presented during the Cabaret Gala of the Association of Theatre and Concert Hall Directors (VSCD).
The three winners each received an award in a separate category. Lisa Ostermann won the award for Engagement, Ruud Smulders for Entertainment and Yentl en de Boer for Kleinkunst. The ceremony took place at Theater Diligentia in The Hague, where the award for promising talent was also presented.
Ostermann won with her show De Baas. It is her second Poelifinario: in 2024, she received the same distinction for Makkelijk in de omgang. The Engagement category is intended for programmes in which cabaret and social or personal themes explicitly come together.
Smulders was honoured for Rüdsichtslos, his programme in the Entertainment category. It was the first time he had won a Poelifinario during the Cabaret Gala. The other nominees in this category were Merijn Scholten with Lemming and Rayen Panday with Grip.
Yentl en de Boer received the award for Rekhalzen in the Kleinkunst category. The duo had previously won a Poelifinario, in 2023, for Modderkruipers. The other nominees were Sarah Janneh with Brabo Leone and Maartje & Kine with De Bingo Show.
The VSCD awards the Poelifinarios to creators of the most impressive cabaret programme of the past theatre season. The awards are divided among the Engagement, Entertainment and Kleinkunst categories. The nominations for the 2026 edition were announced in June.
The Neerlands Hoop was also presented on Monday evening. That award, intended for a promising cabaret maker with strong future prospects, went according to reports on the results to David Linszen. The awards therefore relate to the 2025–2026 cabaret season, not to a separate show that premiered on Monday.
