Sligro Food Group achieved revenue of €660 million in the third quarter of 2026. That was €4 million less than in the same quarter of 2025, according to the company’s trading update.
The revenue decline amounts to approximately 0.6 per cent. In the first nine months of 2026, revenue came to €1.934 billion, compared with €1.939 billion in the same period last year. The figures come from an unaudited trading update by Sligro.
Sligro supplies, among others, the hospitality sector, catering companies, workplace restaurants and other professional customers. The company announced in July that volumes in its markets were under pressure, while labour and transport costs were rising faster than product inflation.
According to its half-year results, consumers in the Netherlands and Belgium were cautious about spending. Sligro said at the time that the Dutch market remained broadly stable in value because price increases offset lower volumes. For Belgium, the company estimated the market decline at 3 to 5 per cent.
On its public webpage, the new update contains mainly revenue figures and no detailed breakdown by country, customer group or cause. It is therefore not possible to establish what proportion of the third-quarter development is specifically related to visits to hospitality venues, price changes or other factors.
For Sligro, the combination of revenue and volume is particularly important. Unchanged revenue can coincide with fewer products sold when prices rise. For suppliers and hospitality customers, the update therefore provides an indication of market conditions, but not yet a complete picture of profitability.
According to the trading update, Sligro will publish its preliminary annual figures for 2026 on 4 February 2027. The audited annual report will follow on 25 March. Until then, the quarterly figures remain provisional and the company may provide additional explanation.
