The English-language production of Mamma Mia! is coming to Amsterdam in November 2027. Producer MOJO announced on Monday that the show will be at the RAI Theater for twelve days.

The production will be performed in its original English version. According to the announcement, the run will be from 24 November to 5 December 2027 inclusive. The announcement does not list the full cast in Amsterdam.

Mamma Mia! uses ABBA’s music in a story about a young woman who tries to discover which of three men is her father shortly before her wedding. The musical premiered in London in 1999 and subsequently grew into an international production.

The show has been made into films several times. The first film version was released in 2008, starring, among others, Meryl Streep, Pierce Brosnan and Colin Firth. A second film followed in 2018. The announced Amsterdam production is a stage show, not a new film release.

The RAI Theater is often used for major touring productions and international events. For Dutch audiences, the choice of English means that no full Dutch adaptation has been announced. The announcement does not state whether the show will have surtitles.

The producer will announce ticket sales and precise information about prices and the cast at a later date. The announcement is therefore primarily a date-and-location notice, not a full production presentation.
