The Netherlands men's volleyball team will compete in next year's World Cup in Poland. The Netherlands is among the 15 countries that qualified based on their position in the world rankings.

Qualification for the tournament was completed on Monday. According to the Dutch volleyball association, the Netherlands are 23rd in the rankings and are therefore one of the countries taking an available World Cup place through the rankings.

The World Cup will be played from 10 to 26 September 2027. Poland is the host nation. Thirty-two countries will take part in the tournament; Volleyball World calls the event the FIVB Volleyball Men's World Cup.

The Dutch team did not qualify through a continental championship, but via the world rankings. The final 15 places went to the highest-ranked teams that had not yet secured a ticket.

Alongside the Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Ukraine, Romania and Turkey are among the European countries selected through the rankings. Italy are the defending champions and Poland qualify automatically as the host nation.

For the Netherlands, the qualification means participation in the global tournament. The group draw and match schedule will be set at a later date; the matches will be played in five Polish cities.
