Those who ordered an iPhone Duo through the Dutch Apple Store on Monday were given a delivery date in January 2027 for many configurations. The device officially goes on sale from Friday, but initial stock appears limited.
Apple announced that the iPhone Duo will be available in the Netherlands from 23 October through Apple and selected retailers. Pre-orders began on 16 October. The delivery date Apple displays for new orders is around 25 January 2027 for several variants.
The iPhone Duo is Apple’s first foldable smartphone. When folded, the device has an external screen; when unfolded, it creates a larger internal screen. Apple positions the device as a combination of a compact phone and a larger screen for multitasking and media.
The shift in the delivery date does not automatically mean that all units have sold out. Stock may vary by storage capacity, colour, retailer and region. Apple has not published a new overall figure for available stock in the information consulted.
Delivery times for other new Apple products can also change quickly after pre-orders open. According to Apple, the first orders will be delivered from the official sales date, but later orders may not arrive until months later.
For consumers, the key issue is the difference between the release date and the actual delivery time. Someone buying in a shop on Friday may find different availability from someone ordering online. The longer wait could also affect business users who want to test or roll out the device immediately.
