Arla Foods is recalling several batches of protein pudding because they may contain small pieces of glass. Consumers are asked not to eat the affected products and to return them to the shop.

The recall applies to Arla Protein Pudding in chocolate and caramel flavours. The products were sold in the Netherlands, including through border shops, as well as in the Faroe Islands and Greenland.

The products have production code M224. For the chocolate flavour, the best-before dates listed are 11, 18 and 20 January and 6 February 2027. For the caramel flavour, the dates are 23 January and 2 February 2027.

According to Arla, the likelihood that an individual product contains glass fragments is small. The company is nevertheless recalling the batches as a precaution. The pudding was produced between 12 June and 14 July 2026 at the factory in Esbjerg.

Consumers can check the packaging for the production code and best-before date. Products covered by the recall can be thrown away or returned to the shop where they were purchased.

The protein products were previously known as Melkunie Protein. Arla says on its Dutch website that these products are now sold under the name Arla Protein.

The recall says nothing about products outside the batches listed. Nor has it been reported that anyone has been injured. The warning concerns a possible physical food-safety risk.
