LG Electronics recorded revenue of 23.82 trillion South Korean won in the third quarter of 2026. Operating profit came to approximately 781.9 billion won. According to LG, the results were mainly supported by home appliances, vehicle technology and business activities.

According to the quarterly figures published by LG, revenue was 8.9 per cent higher than in the same quarter last year. Operating profit rose by approximately 13.5 per cent. This continues the profit growth LG reported earlier this year.

LG describes its home-appliance and vehicle-solutions divisions as important, stable parts of the company. Vehicle solutions include infotainment systems and other electronic applications for cars. The company says that a larger share of higher-priced products is supporting profitability.

LG also said its television division improved compared with a year earlier. The company points to a larger share of premium products and cost control. According to the company, its webOS platform business remained profitable, but LG did not publish a separate profit figure for that activity in the summary consulted.

Revenue for the first nine months of the year came to 71.38 trillion won. Operating profit during that period was 4.03 trillion won, which LG described as a record for the first three quarters. The company says it intends to use the additional room for investment in areas including cooling for data centres and robotics.

LG reported the figures against a backdrop of geopolitical uncertainty, currency movements and higher logistics and materials costs. The results therefore mainly show that the company is, for now, maintaining its margins; they do not mean that all divisions are growing equally strongly.

For Dutch companies, developments in vehicle technology, data centres and consumer electronics are particularly relevant. LG competes there with European, American and Asian manufacturers, while also supplying other companies. Changes in investment or production capacity could therefore affect suppliers and customers.

The quarterly figures cover revenue and operating profit from July through September.
