A man was arrested at Schiphol on Friday after a false bomb threat involving a flight to Prague, several Dutch media outlets report. The Royal Netherlands Marechaussee has yet to confirm the arrest.

The latest development comes amid a series of bomb threats involving flights to and from Prague Airport. It was previously reported that a KLM flight between Prague and Amsterdam had also been targeted by a threat.

According to NOS, the aircraft landed safely at Schiphol and was searched. No explosives were found. Czech police reported bomb threats involving at least nine flights to and from Prague.

The identity of the arrested man and the precise flight in which he was allegedly involved have not been made public. Nor has it been disclosed exactly what he is suspected of. An arrest does not mean that guilt has been established.

According to NOS, the threats appear to be intended to disrupt European passenger traffic, but there is still no certainty about their origin or whether they are connected. Minister of Justice and Security David van Weel previously said there were no indications of a state actor, without ruling out that scenario.

Based on the available open sources, De Vector cannot yet independently confirm the arrest. This article therefore remains limited to what is established: the flight was searched, no explosives were found and several media outlets report an arrest at Schiphol.
